This is a step by step guide for setting up your email account on Outlook 2010 for the first time.
1. Click on the start icon at the bottom left of your screen then proceed to look for the Microsoft Outlook 2010 icon.
2. After clicking on the Microsoft Outlook 2010 icon a set up wizard should begin, click next.
3. After clicking next, you will be asked if you want to configure an E-mail account select yes, then click next.
4. After clicking next, you will see an auto account setup, at the bottom of the wizard you will see a box with manually configure server settings or additional server types, you must check this box then click next.
5. After clicking next, you will be asked about which E-mail service you would like to use, select the first option called internet E-mail then click next.
6. After the previous step you will be asked to fill in your internet email settings, please fill them in, refer to below for any missing information.
7. After you have filled in your settings click on more settings and the click on the Outgoing Server tab, next check the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, then click on the bubble below it which says Use the same settings as my incoming mail server.
8. After completing the previous step click on the advanced tab and under the title Server Port Numbers by Incoming server (IMAP) type 993 then select SSl, under that by Outgoing server (SMTP) type 465 then also select SSL and lastly under that by root folder path type mail.
9. After that click okay then click next, after that another popup will show, click close.
You have now finished setting up your email on Microsoft Outlook 2010 for the first time.
